EverQuest II’s TLE Desert of Flames vote starts tomorrow

Aren't I important?

EverQuest II producer Holly Longdale has posted an update on the TLE/progression server unlocks on the game’s official forums. The Stormhold and Deathtoll servers will be getting the Splitpaw and Bloodline Chronicles adventure packs prior to the first expansion release thanks to an overwhelming voter majority of 80 percent. Both packs are releasing today.

As for that first expansion — which is Desert of Flames, if you’ve forgotten your early EQII history — its vote will begin on August 21st and will run through August 28th. A “yes” vote will cause DoF to release on September 3rd. A “no” vote will result in a second yes/no vote on September 21.

Players of any level may vote yes or no, though only the first vote cast by a given account will be counted. It takes a 2/3 majority to unlock the expansion.

Rozyn Radfist kofteburger  I’ve got one 50 and 3 alts in the high 30s / 40s because I cycled though them as I had vitality. Not really extreme gameplay time either, just regular grouping experience for 1-2 hours a night, and no vitality potions.
If your goal is to take it slow and focus on one character that’s cool.  Just saying that if you plan on playing more than one character and want to level quickly its best not to keep grinding without vitality. Killing mobs with vitality for an hour is the equivalent of killing them for 3 hours without.
Also doing dungeons with other people is my favourite part about EQ2, so I enjoy that levelling path :)

CastagereShaikura I’m pretty much done with Live, they are consolidating servers soon. With that and an expansion in the works you will likely see more players returning. http://eq2wire.com/2015/08/18/upcoming-server-consolidations-vote-on-your-new-server-name/

Radfist Rozyn kofteburger Uphill battle? I’m level 46! The secret to my enjoyment is – I don’t grind. Upper level quests give a good amount of xp and jewelry and don’t use vitality. I also refuse to play the game around my vitality percentage, it’s far more enjoyable to just play and not worry about dinging.

These TLE servers have put me off from this game now. The other servers are completely abandon now. Have close to max level characters on another server and now i hardly see anyone. I think i’m all done with this game now.

Rozyn kofteburger  You have an uphill battle if you are trying to grind without vitality.  Make some alts and alternate between them.

I’m voting no because I already started investing in my experts and gear haha. At the same time though I won’t be that upset if the vote passed. I’ve played the hell out of vanilla content through the years and SS is pretty cool. I’m happy either way!

kofteburger Vit pots, sadly. I’m lvl 46 and I haven’t seen vitality since like lvl 10, yet I still feel like I level very quickly. I really don’t get why anyone would play on the TLE then just grind RoV and CT all day, but of course I also really don’t get why DBG would sell xp potions on a TLE server either.

Agree, i missed a lot of content back the old days in EQ2, so it is a good start to do all/most of the quests.
