That's not a doll, guy.

The final update for Final Fantasy XI is due out in November, but there’s life in the game yet before that happens, and there are many ways to respect the past and say farewell to Vana’diel. September’s update will bring with it new high-end battlefields that allow players to face off against the tag-team of Ultima and Omega along with the deity Promathia once again, recounting the climactic battles for Chains of Promathia at a higher level of difficulty.

Players must first clear the normal versions of these fights to access the high-level versions, along with exchanging items that cost 15 merit points.  Both fights can be challenged at several different difficulty levels, with the gear requirements increasing for the higher levels. Rewards include reforging items as well as unique gear for the two battles, so veteran players will want to take the fight to these old enemies once again.
