Camelot Unchained’s newsletter recaps August, looks to DragonCon

Camelot Unchained fans, I hope you have a caffeinated beverage and a lot of free time, because the 13th edition of the game’s newsletter is here and it’s looooong.

It recaps all the development updates for the previous month, as well as the current stealth stretch goal, which CityState says is coming along nicely and which has been well-received by the community. There’s also a state-of-the-build update penned by Brian Green, as well as details about the dev team’s upcoming trek to Atlanta where they will show off the game at this weekend’s DragonCon.

And of course, there’s a whole lot more to the newsletter. Click the link below to read it for yourself.

Hey Mark, FnF aren’t every week are they ? And if so, are mostly Alpha Backers and IT Backers allowed or are you going to let Beta 1 Backers play along ?

I’ll buy in once they’re done with the whole “testing sessions” shenanigans, mainly because they’re on the weekends and I work weekends :P

SpykeDruid Ok thanks for the reply, considering this, starting with the 60$ tier seems even better now.

At the moment there is an upgrade option so you pay the difference in the two tiers. I’m sure eventually upgrades will be turned off but no idea when that is.
The below quote is from their shop faq
I have a purchased tier. How does this upgrading thing work?
Once logged into your account, you will have the option to exchange one or more tiers for a higher-level tier. You do this through our upgrade and combine functions, paying the price difference between your owned tiers and the desired tier.

Hello folks, I am really tempted to buy a builder tier, but just for information, If I am going to buy say the 60$ “I am a Warrior” tier and I enjoy what I see, I can pay 60$ more at any time to get the “Call me a Hero” tier ?

kimowar Mark Jacobs Thank you so much! Please let me know what you and your wife thinks! And please remember, we’re still in an Old School Alpha. Now, we won’t be able to say that forever but for now, it’s still true.

New Terrain

Crafting

Classes

And more, coming very soon…

Thanks again!

Lheiah Also they offer and upgrade path once you’ve purchased a tier.  So you get the $60 beta1, and play FnF, which are really fun, and worth doing to get a better grasp of what direction the game is going.

Then once the SO sees how much fun it is, you can log into your account store and simply pay the difference and get all the goodies from the hire tier, or if you hate it, unlike other KS, you can get a refund, but you won’t want to.

With the generous refund policy in place, your not throwing away money just to help them play test the game.
