What’s that? You couldn’t make it to PAX Prime and grab some con swag? Never fear! MassivelyOP’s Larry and MJ are bringing some SWTOR goodies to you. OK, so maybe it isn’t exactly something from the con itself, but its still free stuff for your pixeled Star Wars universe, including the Zakuul drop ship speeder and the new Wild Space Explorer’s Cartel packs. While the focus is on giving stuff away, MJ and Larry will also be touring his impressive Tatooine stronghold to show you what is possible with SWTOR housing. Tune in live at 3:00 p.m. as OPTV‘s dynamic duo brings you…

What: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Who: Larry Everett & MJ Guthrie
When: 3:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015

The show is over now, but we’ve embedded it here just for you. Don’t forget to check out past streams and playlists posted to our videos collection!

This game seems largely solo-heavy, which is disappointing and likely why folks were turned off from it.

The Old Republic has gone free to play, and has had at least one server merge. I know this, because having made a character at launch and promptly not subbing (it was impossible for my fiance and I to play two different character classes and do… stuff together), I went back on TOR last night and was notified that my character had been moved due to a server merge.
There were 100+ people in the level 1-10 starter zone, and over 150 people in the capital city, at around 11:00pm CST when I went on last night. That was plenty for me to feel immersed in a world of people.

MarkusTender The developers merged servers to mega servers long ago. There are in the EU just 3 types of servers left (pve, pvp, rp-pve) in 3 langues english german french. The US has east and west coast servers. The megaservers instance more maps if needed, but it still quite a solo journey to cap seeing most players do not do the 4 group content on planets and there is disbalance in queing time for flashpoints. Some of flashpoints will turn into solo content when expansion hit later this year.

No, the developers didn’t realy do anything to make game more lively, but did drop price to move your toon to 100 cartel credits using the webtool. This like 1 or 2 dollars. Also you can easily get 10 day trail if you ask in general in fleet seeing it gives percs to the giving the link away (pets and .100 cc per months that you sub)

If I remember right it costs money, but I hope you guys will grab the option to vary quality between Low-Medium-High for your Twitch stream at some point.  I come by and try to watch frequently and always end up leaving because my internet is on the slow side and the video constantly buffers. :(

MarkusTender I always see a bunch of people running around. Maybe it was your server at the time?

MarkusTender My experience with SWTOR is it’s very endgame heavy. Most folks are at top level. You can find lowbies during double XP event.

The game was not bad, but as i reached the 1st biger city it was so empty, not much npc and stuff.
So did the devs do something that makes the game more lively ?
