Increasingly, there’s no reason to not just run every conceivable game through Steam, aside from the fact that it’s another program on top of whatever else you’re running.
SMITE is
the latest addition to the expansive catalog of free-to-play titles available via the distribution platform, although unlike many titles showing up on the platform, it has arrived today with little fanfare at the time of this writing.
Players already enjoying the game separate of Steam can continue doing so, although swapping over to Steam is the only way to get the accompanying pile of Steam achievements. If you’ve been awaiting the game’s release on the platform to try it out, your day has come.

Steam; thanks to Sorenthaz for the tip!
aboomwithaview Hit me with those sweet codes <3
I can’t decide if I should give this a try. I’m not afraid of complexity, but I was driven out of DOTA2 pretty quickly. I spent countless hours studying the game before even playing, so I’d know a few basic characters and terminology and avoid the basic stupid stuff… but I found that you wound up in one of the following:
pub game: You play against a bunch of people who don’t speak english and half of them disconnect in a couple minutes and the rest act like they’re the only player in the game.
non-pub: Everyone has been playing for ten thousand hours and will immediately start telling you every single thing to do, even though you don’t have a clue what they’re talking about and when you finally do exactly what they told you to do, another person on the team bitches at you for doing that when you’re supposed to be doing something totally different.
So, I pulled the ripcord and never went back.
Never touched the blizzard game, either, because I’m not willing to play “MOBA for babies” just because people in DOTA2 were shit.
This is a moba right?
Ive think ive got some codes from various bundles floating around if anyone wants them?
Doesn’t matter because The Long Dark is the only game worth playing on steam ;)
And thus begins the downfall of its community.
TehAcidBaron Sorenthaz Yeah it’s the same god pack they’ve been selling since beta.
Sorenthaz
Is that the same pack they sold at the start when the game was in beta before all the gods were out?
As i remember buying something like that.
and there were many “meh’s” heard across the land!
The Ultimate God Pack sale is 33% off, so instead of $30 it’s $20.
It’s an insanely good deal as-is at $30 (roughly the equivalent of paying $0.44 per god, and that value will only grow smaller as more gods are added on a monthly basis), so there’s no reason not to get it at $20 if you enjoy the game, imo.
Dantos Oh yeah, I think I may have nabbed that in one of the humble bundles too. Thanks for reminding me to check : )
