Order & Chaos 2 is launching next week

Need a hearty mobile World of Warcraft fix? The best substitute for a while now has been Gameloft’s Order and Chaos Online, which, while a trifle generic, has been a big hit for the company.

Now Gameloft is trying again with a sequel, Order & Chaos 2: Redemption. The studio announced that the mobile MMO will be launching on Thursday, September 17th. The game will be available across several platforms, including iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Windows.

Order & Chaos 2 takes place 600 years after the first game and includes a playable reptilian race and a new class called the Blood Knight. You can check out the prelaunch trailer after the jump!

Hm. I don’t like WoW and haven’t played since week two after launch in 2004 . . . but something sort of like that on mobile? Hey, that might be interesting! I’m totally going to look into . . . th… wait… wait, what? Gameloft…? Oh good grief, NO.

I prefer Celtic Heroes, but other than that, there isn’t much else out there worth playing in the mobile MMO space. OCO2 will be a nice and probably welcome addition.

Greaterdivinity Yeah I might have to download it for my Windows phone, just to have something game wise to do on it off and on. Though what I tend to do is use the Kindle app on the phone to read books when I don’t have my Kindle on me.

Yeah I was surprised when I read that too. O&C2 is going to have a captive audience over there — smart move.

Wait, and Windows? Well, guess I’ll carve out an hour or two to waste on it, then.

As a Windows phone user I’m disappointed at the fact I’m not disappointed.

The most emphatic response to this I can muster is “meh.”
