TERA is revamping its starting experience

Oh dear.
After three years of operation in North America, TERA is overdue for a new starting experience. The most recent producer’s letter for the game promises precisely that in the near future, along with the first community-designed costume set and the addition of the new Brawler class to the game. A new class and a new starting experience do go together rather nicely, especially when you consider that the Brawler is a punch-oriented tank.

En Masse’s Patrick “Treeshark” Sun also acknowledges issues with dungeon loot and gold drops and promises that a fix is incoming, but it also states that the team will be waiting and letting Bluehole Studios alter drops in the Korean client before importing it. That means a longer wait for fixes, but it also means fewer inconsistencies between the North American version of the game and the Korean version along with a more streamlined overall process. Check out the full letter for more details.

Heh…. I actually felt the starting experience was a lot better than the experience you have after you leave the starter zone.

I hope this revamp goes better than the last one, where they simply reduced the number of Quests in the starting area by a bunch.
Also, in the Korean Tera, they lost about a half dozen dungeons when they got the Brawler class, I hope they find a way to let us keep at least a couple of those dungeons when we get the patch.

Wonder when that patch will be coming.  Been wanting to possibly get back into Tera again but if the Brawler class is coming soon then I might as well wait on that, because it looks pretty badass.
