Star Trek Online weathers DDoS attack over the weekend

If you could ask Star Trek Online how its weekend went, it would probably just grimace and shake its head. That’s because the sci-fi MMO came under fire by DDoS attacks, resulting in frustration by the community as players couldn’t log into the game.

Cryptic reported at least two waves of attacks that hit the game on Sunday, although it looks as though the studio eventually got the upper hand in the situation. “Our servers look to be stable at the moment,” Cryptic reported late last night. “We’re keeping an eye on reports and server status for an additional issues.”
