Elder Scrolls Online is coming to Japan in 2016

Can Elder Scrolls Online take root in an eastern country such as Japan? That’s what we’re going to find out, as ESO will be launching a Japanese server in spring 2016.

The news came out of the Tokyo Game Show, where it was also announced that DMM Games will be handling the operation in the country. This will mark the game’s first foray into Asia. Could a Chinese launch be in the works as well?

We’ve got the Japanese trailer for Elder Scrolls Online after the break!

Greaterdivinity  think it did well over there mostly because of the mods , can literally turn Skyrim into attack of the titan meets love live.

Bannex19 Just looked up on Wikipedia, and PS4 has 20 released exclusives to Xbones 13, with 25 more upcoming/announced on PS4 compared to 6 on Xbone. The article could be wildly out of date, but that’s what Wikipedia says.
Both have their fair share of exclusives for mid-sized/major titles (not including partnerships like what Sony has with CoD now, since Xbox lost that one), with Sony edging out Microsoft at the moment.

Given the level of customer service expected here,  I’m just chuckling at the cluster frak that will happen when they launch if they apply the same model of CS as they have in the west.  They’re so screwed.

You’d think there’d be more ps4 exclusives….

That’s some awesome news.  Hope it does well.  Would be nice to see ESO be a big sprawling MMO in a few years.

I hope it does well.  The narrator voice is excellent. :)

Like many others, I initially dismissed this game as a poor copy of Guild Wars 2, but after revisiting it recently, I was pleasantly surprised.  I don’t know what “endgame” is like, nor PvP, but the PvE questing in the lower level zones is superb.  Through 10 levels of gameplay, I never once felt like I was being asked to go fetch 20 bear arses just for the sake of getting enough XP padding to move on to the next exclaimation point hub.

Dystopiq It’s as well they’re having their own server, I’m not sure how they’d take to the NA or EU males strutting their stuff in the bank without their kit on!

It’s a great game in my view, currently my most enjoyable MMO by a mile, I’m pleased they’re expanding their horizons with it.

Not enough half naked prepubescent girls in this game for It to become popular.
