“You are wrinkly manager man. It’s your job to be old and die so we can learn and be sad. Also you pay for gas.”
I love The Secret World’s Nassir so much. I declare that Funcom’s next spin-off game needs to be a road trip with Nassir and Said getting into wacky situations and spouting off more terrific one-liners.
Anyway, today’s discussion is all about the MMO quotes that totally made your day, whether they were written or spoken. What are your favorites?
Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!

SallyBowls1 I like Corso. Â I know many don’t, but he’s such a sweetie.
I enjoy a lot of the NPC banter in GW2 (as well as being drivien nuts by some of it). Like a couple other people, I like the Asura’s entering combat tell of “You’re dumb. You’ll die and leave a dumb corpse”.Â
I also like this one from a conversation between two NPCs in the Ascalon Catacombs dungeon: “No one’s arguing about the need for a plan. Your plan is just stupid and won’t work.” Still makes me laugh every time we go in there.
Lastly, though I never thought I’d say this, I’m quite nostalgic for the “Your face is funny” banter between a little girl and charr that used to take place near the bank in pre-Scarlett Lion’s Arch:
From SWTOR “ergonomic chairs”
The “Gypsy Psychic” girl in Secret World made me terribly sad. It always bothered me. Probably because her good voice acting, sad song in the background, and the dismal mood her story set on top of the zombie infestation was just perfect.
Sarah from The Secret World…
Qarran camelotcrusade YES.  I forgot about that, but I’m chuckling now remembering it.
This …
srmalloy Qarran Heh.  I’m leveling up an Inq right now.  Thanks, I’ll keep an ear out for it.
Qarran The PC line that I found to be the funniest is when a female Sith Inquisitor goes back to her ship at the end of the Tatooine story line, and the first thing she says is “I brought Andronikus back!” in the most incredibly chirpy, syrupy voice. It’s so utterly incongruous with the way the character plays, either light or dark side, that it’s hilarious.
Pesko That’s enough Manneus!
