ArcheAge has been live for 1,000 days in Korea; here’s a trailer

ArcheAge recently celebrated its 1,000th day as a live game in Korea. Developer XLGAMES published a trailer to mark the occasion, which is pretty slick as far as trailers go. Depending on your experience with ArcheAge, you may find it bittersweet, since it manages to capture almost all of the title’s unique gameplay elements while necessarily glossing over its lengthy laundry list of problems.

In any case, you can view the clip after the break!

Rhime
The Labor Point system was an essential part of the game.

It’s not good to let 24/7 shut-ins freely dominate the economy in a competitive sandbox, the LP system puts the brakes on that.

Walah chosenxeno But it’s not Structured and tiered. I am talking abouyt EndGame being on the level of a WoW or a Rift. Archeage does not have that.

chosenxeno Most of Archeage’s innovative elements are structured around PVE content. I don’t know where you got your info, but the game is definitely a mixture of PVP and PVE content. Perhaps you just don’t like PVP at all, and that’s fine if it isn’t your thing, but saying the game doesn’t have structured PVE is completely false.

 Let it go Jeff…..
It isn’t smart for any company to list the things people have a problem with every time they promote their product.
ArcheAge is no different. It didn’t turn out to be the perfect sandbox you wanted it to be.  We get it. Either move forward, support it now, or let the past go, but talking about the past on every new promotion has to frustrating.  The game has improved in many ways and I hope it continues. We’ll have to see if it ever meets the high expectations that were expected of it.

It’s a shame the game has a draw distance of about 5ft. Yeah, you can see mountains way off in the distance but the mobs, trees, and grass that are about a stones toss away have to pop-in constantly. Really takes me out of the game.

It was a more hardcover game. Labor points didn’t exist, there were more systems in development, like real player created factions to oppose the npc factions and alliances. The safe zones were done much better.
It was just an all around better game. They made the game more “carebear”. It was a more complete game in cbt. But people complained it was too difficult so it got put back in development and things got axed./changed for the worse. And now we have AA in its current state.

It’s been running for 1000 days?  So that’s like, what, 1500 days since launch then?
