WildStar offers up a free-to-play feature trailer

Now I'm the best thing ever!

The fact that WildStar is free-to-play means that people who’ve never bought the game can try it out, and the people who were already playing have every reason to continue. But the new feature trailer for the game’s free-to-play transition seems a bit more focused on courting those who had played once and then stepped away, the players who want to know what’s been added to make the game more compelling.

Particular attention is paid to the game’s omnibits and loyalty program, both of which reward players for playing and spending money whether now or in the past. Check out the full rundown of the free-to-play features just below, complete with a summary rejection of living in a creepy skull-adorned temple house.

I’m about over people crying over little things on a game that you can now play for free. “Whaaaaaaa, they try to sell me stuff to keep the lights on! Whaaaaaaaaa they have perks for people who pay money and its misleading me!”. Jesus, micro aggressions are the future.

Considering how much squirming they initially did with priorities, I doubt they had the time to put it down when they focused too hard on trying to get content out every month to appease a crowd that is purely insatiable.  Holiday events were never known for the 1%’s pleasure.

It feels like an advertisement for ways to spend cash rather than play for free.
I’ve only played the game for the last day or so, and I hope it does well as it seems quite a bit different from a lot of other games.

I’m really enjoying this game. I hope it survives. But at the rate they’re going,,,, they have maintenance every morning lasting 4 – 5 hours. It makes me go hmmmm.

woolydub Yes the questing panel can be confusing. Try turning off “sort by distance” or something by click on the gear at the bottom. see if that helps. I think housing comes around lv15 when you get to your faction’s “capital” city.

It actually isn’t “all here now for free.” He explicitly described perks for people who pay. (Cosmic reward, and Signature members) So, that’s not all, for free.
Chalk it up to lazy writing, or sloppy grammar  but its misleading.

Siphaed Well at least it’s f2p so everyone can check out the event when it happens.  That’s nice.  And I’m gonna go out on a limb and say they didn’t add the events because they were too swamped and couldn’t do them correctly.  It still sucks.  Halloween is one of my favorites so I’m super disappointed there isn’t a halloween event, but I can always check out other games and see theirs.

Exactly how many trailers have they released since they announced F2P?
It sure seems like they have a new one every week…
