Here’s how ZeniMax made Elder Scrolls’ Orsinium

9

Orsinium is coming to Elder Scrolls Online next month, but you can get an eyeful of it now thanks to a new ZeniMax dev blog called Creating Orsinium. The region was last seen nearly 20 years ago in The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, and the blog looks at how the design and art teams iterated on that initial presentation to come up with an “Iron City” that fits the pre-existing lore.

ZeniMax says that the zone is similar to ESO’s starting city of Daggerfall, though Orsinium feels bigger because of its vertical design. The blog has all the details, including concept art and a fly-through video that you can see after the break.

goldstariv NobleNerd If I like the game and the content is something that will entertain me for a while I usually just sub for 2 months then use the crowns to buy the DLC.

That said, unfortunately the DLCs so far are very weak on content for what they are asking for them. Right now I chose to buy the GW2 expansion because for $20.00 more I receive 500 times the content and features.

NobleNerd I think it’s better to just subscribe and play it.. Why are so many people vehemently opposed to subscribing but are so quick to reiterate the price of the DLC outside of the subscription?

Pay 15 bucks a month, and never pay for DLC content, how much easier can it get?

Koshelkin NobleNerd It will cost 3,000 Crowns that is about $30.00 not $20.00. Imperial City was cheaper.

Here is the details link so you can see with your eyes.

NobleNerd It’s around 20$ not 30$.
I can’t really comment on if it’s worth it but exaggerating numbers won’t help your argument.

LOL. I  love the game, but what the heck was that?

They took some rehashed fly through from their QuakeCon video and tossed it out to the media.

Played on the PTS. Orsinium is a nice zone but it is 95% single player focused with with the single player Arena about the only replayable content. This will become old quicker than Imperial City.

UNfortunate for me this content did not have enough in it for me to throw $30.00 at it. GW2 HoT won out.

Damn it’s been twenty years since Daggerfall? The new Orsinium looks great though. Finally some DLC I might actually buy eventually.
