Final Fantasy XIV previews the Vanu Vanu beast tribe quests

It’s impossible to reach the level cap in Final Fantasy XIV‘s current expansion without dealing with the Vanu Vanu. There are quests focusing on both the Vundu and Zundu tribes specifically, so most players will be at least passingly familiar with them. But you can expect to get much more familiar with them when the game’s next patch goes live, as they’re the stars of the first set of beast tribe quests.

A new flying mount is among the rewards offered; other offerings include new minions, new furnishings, and materials. Lore-wise, the Zundu remain as the allies of the player, opposing the Vundu tribe and its summoning of the primal Bismarck. It’s just a little more than a week until patch day, at which point players will be able to start fighting back against one tribe’s dominance of the Sea of Clouds.

To each their own. I am actually a fan of dailies (hell I even liked them in MoP (WoW) – hold the pitchforks please!) as it’s something to do on my own time to just go out and go brain dead after work (or while i’m in a DPS queue :)). FF14 splits it up to where you can only pick up 6 dailies per day anyway (not sure if they’ve increased recently) and you’re done in like 15 minutes, so it’s not like it’s a lot of extra time out of your day.
If people want to complain about taking 15 minutes a day for a month or whatever it turns out to be for some access to mounts/minions/furniture, then don’t do it? This is actually one of the features I’ve been looking forward to the most as I make my way to getting my classes to 60, lol.

I, admittedly, completely gave up on the Beast Tribe stuff when I got about halfway out of Neutral with the Amalj’aa. Just…really boring and slow, and the token restriction pretty much meant progress would plod on forever.
There is a lot of neat stuff heading down the pipe for 3.1. This ain’t one of ‘s. But, hey, as always, if people enjoy it then who am I to hate that?

I mean everybody who thinks this way in general.

AliceInChains Since you are talking to me directly I’ll respond.

“So you want it to be more like XI but bitch when they do, then bitch when they don’t.”
I don’t know who you are thinking of but it isn’t me.  I used to play Final Fantasy games with the passion of an extremist – my gaming life lived and died by whatever world SE dreamed up next.  Then somewhere along the line (after 13 was panned and took so long to build) they simply stopped caring.
Now we get mobile ports of better days gone by, graphical updates called a new game (all the while being a lesser version) and mysterious release dates of new ones in the murky future.  The only thing keeping them from being a total laughing stock is the fact they bought Eidos – the one good thing they are involved in.
So if having a poor opinion of the dumpster fire that is Square Enix makes me a troll – okay, I am a troll.

AliceInChains Dude how do you know he doesn’t play this game? Also, you can still play something and not totally be in love with every added feature. I can’t stand how people get so butt hurt when someone says something negative about their precious (insert whatever mmo here) that they are playing at the moment.

Rolder AliceInChains “After unlocking the beast tribe daily quests, players will be able to undertake several quests which change on a daily basis. By completing them, players can improve their reputation with the Vanu Vanu. At certain milestones, you will be given the opportunity to undertake main beast tribe quests, which are episodic quests that provide insight into the lives of the Vanu Vanu.”

=====================

Next time, read for once. the quests are random and change daily.

So no, not the same quests every single day.

Troll harder and you’ll get there, I promise.

Rolder AliceInChains “Having more things to do” will always kill “having less things to do”. Who should be the judge about the excitement level of those things? The players.
