Karl_Hungus LOL! Agreed. Though this pretty much sums up all RPGs including PC MMOs.

Bannex19 you’d be disappointed. This game works on a console. For the PC? The content is way too short.

Smiggins Game has many faults, but the graphics and feel of the guns is pretty impressive. I can’t believe I’m sticking up for a console FPS but … there it is.

TraylorAlan Try harder. I have previously been a staunch resister of the gamepad for FPS games. It took me a little while, but I got used to it. It will never even remotely be as good as a keyboard/mouse combo, but it gets the job done. Try modifying the look sensitivity in the settings menu a few clicks above the default; will let you do 180’s a little better. If you want someone to play alongside, let me know.

mattaui I looked it up I couldn’t find a definitive answer whether you could register an account with a second hand copy of Destiny so I am not sure if you are right or wrong .

Can you please copy and paste the link here where you found the information. Not saying I doubt you but I have thought about getting this game and if you can indeed to that I may get it second hand instead of new .

Had to look up the release date it seems its only been out a little over a year . I would think Word of Warcraft after 14 months could not boast anything close to 25 million registered accounts . Its impressive when you consider the amount of people that have registered for this game ( does that translate into sales ? ) is equal to roughly 40 percent of the population of the United Kingdom .

Estranged Karl_Hungus It is mostly standardized.  The ‘perks’ still count so a guy with an amazing perked pulse rifle will still have an edge on someone using a regular pulse rifle (also some of the exotic effects are nice for pvp).
One nice thing about Destiny though is that the PvP is completely optional, and even if you want to get the extra daily ‘legendary marks’ for playing a crucible match you’ll get them whether you win or lose.  Also, the rewards at the end of a regular match are pretty random and I often see the worst people on each team get the best rewards (which seems kind of weird).

Karl_Hungus mattaui You’re right that the ‘vanilla’ storyline is nonsensical gibberish, but once you get to the Taken King the story greatly improves.  It’s no Bioware or Obsidian story or anything, but at least the missions progress in a logical sense, the cutscenes are interesting, the quests are fun, and the voice acting is good and loaded with Fillion making genuinely funny quips.

Karl_Hungus Syco_at_Twitch As much as I want Eternal Crusade to be amazing I highly doubt that is going to happen.

orionite Caec GabeNewellFetish Destiny has very fun well polished gameplay (for a console FPS of course).  I’ve been playing it and enjoying it.  I often do missions not because I need stuff from them, but because it’s fun to run around and cooperatively shoot things with other people.
They’ve also done a good job in TKK of adding lots of hidden stuff which rewards exploration.  The only thing that feels like a ‘grind’ to me so far is leveling subclasses, which seems absurdly slow compared to how quick it is to get to level 40 and light level 290ish (above that you need to raid or do nightfall missions).
