Leaderboard: Will you play Infinity Battlescape?

Infinity: Battlescape looks to have a little momentum on Kickstarter. I-Novae’s seamless space battler is over two thirds of the way to its $300,000 goal with just under two weeks to go. The title may pick up a few more backers, too, thanks to positive word of mouth and the endorsement of some space sim bigwigs around the industry.

What about you, though, MOP fans? Assuming you like space sims, does Infinity: Battlescape interest you enough to play it? Vote after the cut!

Leaderboard: Will you play Infinity Battlescape?

  • Yes (57%, 67 Votes)
  • No (42%, 49 Votes)
  • I already have! (2%, 2 Votes)

I will give it a go, if/when it comes out, but not putting any money on it, all my funds for these sort of things went to SC this year :)

Smiggins Kataq Oleg Chebeneev When a Star Citizen fanboy shit talks Elite, it’s “pointing out a games flaws”? You’re a real comedian Smiggins.

1) I doubt anything decent may be created on that budget and
2) why don’t people start something more feasible for Kickstarter budgets? Like top-down “sandbox” game (trading + exploration + combat + reputations + bountty hunting) – for example Space Rangers Online – I’d purchase and play a game like that much more willingly than a first person view simulators which cost $5M+ to create.

I will play it because I generally like PvP and space combat, but I’m a little disappointed that the initial goal isn’t to make something persistent. The seamless transition to planets looks great and it feels like a missed opportunity in what could have been an amazing persistent experience.
I’m waiting to see exactly how seamless Elite’s planetary landings are.

It only has one star system, which seems too limited to me; I can’t help feel that it’ll be a short ride, and they really want to have large battles on the same area over and over, which really doesn’t appeal to me more than as a novelty.
