WRUP: The Grand Magistrix has power over time edition

What do you mean story justification? Thor is public domain, right?

How do you represent a boss who has power over time? Because the Grand Magistrix has power over time. The obvious answer is that you will be traveling back and forth in time during the fight. Playing a Paladin? Enjoy trying to deal damage with your abilities from the base game. Playing a Monk? Congratulations, now you don’t exist because it’s Cataclysm. Warlock? Well, that seems fine, but it’s going to be less fun when she turns the clock ahead to the twelfth expansion when your class is constantly on fire.

Or maybe it’ll just be slowdown fields and stuff, I don’t know.

Anyway, this week’s installment of What Are You Playing is here, and while I’ll be watching a bunch of BlizzCon streams for your edification, the rest of the overpowered crew has other plans! Check them out just below, and let us know what you’re going to be up to down in the comments.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Hopefully Guild Wars 2, but most likely BlizzCon. If I can make it through the weekend without being compelled to reactivate my World of Warcraft account, I will be thrilled.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): When I’m not blogging or liveblogging the various panels from BlizzCon, I’ll be splitting my time between pre-patch preparation in Final Fantasy XIV and some flying about in Star Trek Online. It’s becoming a household project.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): WildStar continues to be a primary focus of my gaming time, as I’m doing more expeditions and adventures as of late. I need to do more crafting (got to get better housing items!) and perhaps work on an Esper. Other gaming possibilities: Star Wars: The Old Republic chapter nine and perhaps dabbling in World of Warcraft.

MJ Guthrie (@MJ_Guthrie, blog): I plan on enjoying the fall colors of ARK: Survival Evolved more as I hunt down the newest dino. I will also be doing daily runs of the Halloween events in The Secret World trying to get that pet! Other than that, I think I will slip in a little Sword Coast Legends and some EverQuest II.

Liandreth (@liandreth): This weekend, I’ll be doing a 24 hour gaming marathon. Mostly in WoW. Participating in Extra Life 2015, supporting the hospital that took care of my son. Should be fun!

thatchefdude: This weekend, I will mostly be playing FFXIV with my free company, trying to raise more crafting classes and also help us finish our airship. I’ll probably spend some time working on my Nightmare/Friendly Fire challenge campaign is Dragon Age: Inquisition as well, at least until Fallout 4 hits on Tuesday. That’s about it…

Pierre: I will probably play some of The Elder Scrolls Online to see what the Orsinium DLC has brought to the game. And my addiction drove me back to tank battles in World of Tanks. After testing Armored Warfare, I had the exact same feeling as when I played Skyforge for a while: boredom. These games from the same developer have some flaws in their designs; I cannot tell what exactly, but they are not fun and extremely boring in the long run. WoT, even though it’s far from flawless, is more fun if you can suffer through the frustrating match-maker. I’m also tempted to go back to SWTOR, but I’m almost sure if I do go back, I will not stay for long, so I’m resisting this urge. Enjoy your weekend and your games, dear MOP readers.

Your turn!
