Skyforge calls players to fight against planetary gods

Planetary invasions are beginning to become a fact of life for Skyforge players. Get up, brush your teeth, fight off waves of terrifying space invaders, pick up dry cleaning, and binge-watch some Netflix. That’s become the routine.

Well, apparently there are even worse threats than your run-of-the-mill armies: planetary avatars. These avatars are the representation of the god of the invading planet, and in a new dev blog, players are informed about their responsibility to confront and defeat them.

The upshot of these 10-player battles is that there are some seriously great rewards in store for the victors, including divine revelations. In addition, if players can topple an avatar, then the entire server enjoys increased rewards for two days.

…But if no one manages to take one down, every player with access to Divine Firm will lose all of their accumulated Faith points and will have to start over from scratch.
So basically what we have here at this early state of the game is an odd system where only the top end megaguilds have everything to gain should they succeed and everyone over 30,500 prestige has something to lose should they fail. And that’s assuming 10 players in one of them have the invasion resistance knowledge or whatever to get in.
Furthermore, that’s assuming the version of the avatar we get on our non-Russian servers is even beatable. No one seems to know for sure. “Actively tweaking” the battle, to a point that even the localization devs don’t know what we’re getting. This should be… Interesting.
Smart money says they’ll drop the minimum prestige needed to stand a chance to just barely enough that those top-end players will have to shell out another $100 to inflate their prestige to a more manageable point. :P

It look like this patch will have immortal invasion avatars and only real outcome of their appearance will be the loss of faith points. Luckily, I have no use for them.
