World of Warcraft outlines the Death Knight changes coming in Legion

Why did you let me down so bad.

The next World of Warcraft expansion is adding the game’s second hero class to the lineup, but that doesn’t mean the first one has been forgotten. Death Knights have been around for six years now, but they’ve always had something of a mess of a resource system even while they have a strong core fantasy. The latest development overview for the class explains that the resource system will be overhauled to use six generic runes, with a maximum of three recharging at any one time.

Blood will be gaining new methods to generate Bone Shield charges and more active health recovery, while Frost is losing some of its awkwardness with Killing Machine and some slight ability refocusing. Unholy is receiving the most substantial overhaul, making Festering Strike more appealing and changing how the disease-centric playstyle works in practice. Check out the full entry to see how the class is shifting, and stay tuned for further updates on the remaining five classes in the game as the week continues.

Ironwu I’m mostly okay with the changes to Blood. Mostly because Blood needed a rune dump that’s more then just DC.

Ironwu No kidding. Every BDK ability in preview has health regen. Like how they will even die now?

As a fully geared Blood DK, I can tell you right now that they do NOT need more ‘Active Health Recovery’!  A properly geared, stated, and played Blood DK is practically invincible right now.  I can only see these changes as a way to actually NERF Blood DK abilities while scamming the changes out as ‘buffs’ to Blood DKs.
If you don’t believe me, go hunt down the videos of Blood DKs taking down World Bosses solo (as has been reported here on MOP)!
These changes to Blood DK are pure bullsh*t.

No no no!!!
How do they keep messing up Unholy so bad?!
Unholy was originally the Spec that focused on Necromancy.
You could rez allies as Ghouls, you could rez yourself as a Ghoul, you could summon a Bone shield, you got a permanent Ghoul pet, you had shorter cooldown on Army of the Dead, you could explode corpses. It was ALL about the Necromancy.
Then it started to slowly devolve into becoming about diseases, and the Necromancy get getting lost piece by piece.  Now they say “The fantasy of an Unholy DK is spreading diseases”?   BS.
Bring back the Necromancy, and ditch this ridiculous disease crap, leave that tot he Affliction Warlocks.

As someone who was born to DK and also to Unholy “I’m as excited as a really excited person who’s got a special reason to be excited.”

zZ Demo was always about controlling Demons, adding Metamorphosis to the spec was a bad decision. Now it’s going back to how it’s supposed to be played and as someone who loves the class I’m pretty happy with all the changes.

Wiexlon I’m the same, love the look of 2h over dw. Although I like the look of 2 1handers sheathed on my back and have some to use for future transmogs :p

zZ The warlock class preview was the one prior to DKs.  They are thankfully removing the nouveau metamorphosis that was mistakenly :-) added to demonology. Demonology is about demons, affliction is more DOTs, etc.
