Kalamari Akami Dragon hunters killing people in 2-3 seconds, whilst giving up almost zero survivability is a bit extreme, and completely unbalanced.  Don’t even get me started on tempests and their ability to have  50-100% uptime on reflects while healing for 2k a second.
Or perhaps we should talk about the plethera of other unbalanced issues when it comes to Spvp atm. Â I understand there will always be Meta comp’s. Â But atm things are ridiculous. Â Just watch when the season starts and every top ranked team is using Tempests, Dragonhunters, and mesmers, with almost nothing else.
Yes, in solo play the other classes are viable. Â But in organized group play? Â They are much less so.
Akami thats your opinion. in my eyes every class can beat every other class or elite spec ( i knew becasue i already done it), and thats not unbalanced for me…
I still don’t understand how gw2 can have this passive push for esports recognition, yet their classes are still completely unbalanced in Spvp.
ManastuUtakata My take from the thread is that some people love to debate no matter what. :) I tend to bow out when I make that realization that I am caught in one of those type of debates with someone like that.
Quincha Damonvile SallyBowls1 He wouldn’t have left until he knew he had another job to go to.

He himself said it was a better opportunity. And he is right now working with one of WB’s studios (changed his Linkedin to reflect such). Developers kind of do this all the time, jumping from one studio to another when the pay offer is better, the benefits are better, or whatever.  Studios also incentivize open positions to other studio developers to ‘snipe’ them in order to get aged talent rather than raw college newbs. Â
He went from WvW Design Lead to Senior Mission Designer.  Maybe, just maybe he likes designing a more RPG style controlled set of missions instead of doing something as openly chaotic as WvW.  Monolyth is known for single player games, which are also easier to design and balance around instead of MMOs, especially one such as GW2 where balance passes must go through PvE teams, sPvP teams, WvW teams, and now raid teams. Guild upgrades are reflected via the economy shift/balance as well, which is PvE, before just throwing them to the wind in WvW.  There are so many systems that it can get overwhelming to try to do instead of simply making a single player game. Not saying he couldn’t handle the stress of it all, but simply putting that spin as a singular possibility.
ManastuUtakata  OH! Oh! I’m sorry! This is abuse!  No, you want room 12A, next door.
Quincha Zulika_Mi_Nam What would you expect a responsible business person to say? If you thought most of your management were incompetent and complete idiots, you say something polite like that,  No future potential employer wants to read about a prospect doing some childish, unprofessional emo criticism even if it is true.
Quincha SallyBowls1 Huh. My point is that we did not know what was going on but that an ex employee saying an usual euphemism changed very little.
P.S. well I think I know the Socratic paradox quoted by Cicero is usually attributed to Socrates a couple of centuries earlier.
Quincha Zulika_Mi_Nam It’s called humility as you walk out the door. It doesn’t mean anything. Kind of the point EVERYONE has been making that you keep missing. If he said he was the greatest game designer ever, when he left, he’d look like a total asshole. Acting humble means you leave with everyone thinking you’re a great guy.
Forums are the only place someone actually might mistakenly take it to mean something literal…oh hey..like here!
