Guild Wars 2’s first PvP League season starts December 1st, which, not coincidentally, is tomorrow. ArenaNet has published a how-to post for those of you who are looking to sign up. If you’re a veteran, it’s as easy as queuing for ranked play via the PvP panel. If you’re a newbie, you’ll need to achieve rank 20 by playing unranked.
The rest of the post details league rewards as well as the Guild Challenger League and how to access it. In other Guild Wars 2 news, ArenaNet continues its heavy emphasis on e-sports by previewing week two of the ESL Guild Wars 2 Pro League.

Lack of Heroes’ Ascent makes me cry.
SoMuchMass Your Random GW2 Trollpost Generator is running out of steam, dude.
SoMuchMass just… go away already.
Man the graphics, especially character models in GW2 look so dated. Â That screenshot looks like it could be from from GW1 10 years ago.
That guy in the screenshot looks like he has tiny T-Rex arms.
Bannex19 I’m the opposite, been playing alot more lately. The HoT maps are super active and more interesting than jumping around for world boss timers. Â Was previously just logging in for living world updates, but now actually find the open world content interesting.
Grimmtooth This isn’t a new or outrageous turn of events. Â A new PvP season and league has been on their public schedule of updates for quite some time. Â They said it would be the end of the year after HoT launch during all the pre-HoT hype.
Bannex19 Im the complete opposit, i took a 8 month break after playing the game for 2 weeks at launch, come back and the game has been steadily getting better since.
My Norn guardian will force all noobs of the control point and then die very slowly :D (and look good doing it too!)
Esoteric Coyote Bannex19Â
should try an elementalist, never a dull moment
I’ll be quite honest though, while I don’t really share Bannex’s sudden distaste for the game my play time has really diminished since they have been putting in raids and focusing in on that.
