Are you very excited about Gunslinger Stratos Reloaded Online? Is that excitement due to the fact that it’s some sort of shooty game made by Square-Enix? For those holding out hope that the game will come to western shores, there’s no official word on any localization, but you may not want to hold your breath as the servers are reportedly pretty empty on the Japanese version.
Steparu recently took the opportunity to try out the game’s newest map, Shibuya Night, and found the server population to be pretty much nonexistent. That doesn’t bode well for the health of the game or any sort of localization. You can check out footage of the new map just below, if you’re not about to be dissuaded by low population observation.

Anyone who played Front Mission Evolved should know SE should never dip their toes in this sort of thing. Â They are awful at it, among most of what they do today.
Dystopiq More likely it’s because it has shooter only gameplay and those don’t tend to do poorly there. Not sure what Square-Enix was thinking

This is exactly the kind of batshit things that I like to play.
Dystopiq Eh what? That’s like saying warhammer mmos failed because the gnomes or the gritty style
Because it’s an anime dress up title with “game” thinly sprinkled on top. Like most anime games.
ZeroHero At first I thought ha ha that’s funny but then I realized that no it’s not funny at all :(

I’m thinking Trion is ready to grab hold of this bad boy. Who’s ready for more $150 early access packs for a dead eastern game?!? :D
Man, I kinda really want this. Looks like good fun.

The show didn’t have much substance to it either, but never ever had auto-locking weapon attacks (that I’m aware of, I stopped like 6 or 8 episodes in because the story got diluted pretty fast). Â Â I can see why this ‘ride an anime show’s popular coattails for profit’ thing happens, but they really should have found a better anime and made a better game in general.
This game play looks like fastfood gameplay – boring clunky lock-on gameplay made interesting looking due to bright over the top screen covering effects.
Looks to have very little substance or strategy.
