Adopt Brightpaw in World of Warcraft and support the Make-A-Wish foundation

Cats are cats.

How is your cat collection in World of Warcraft? Could it use another cat knocking things off of tables and squawking endlessly with a side order of sitting on your face when you sleep? Because the game’s latest cash shop pet is a new cat, only it’s a magically empowered cat, so that won’t be significantly worse.

There’s a preview video for the pet just below, following its initial announcement at BlizzCon. You can feel good about buying this one, too, since 100% of the pet’s adoption fee will be donated to Make-A-Wish so long as it is purchased before December 31st of this year. So, magic cats, why not?

Greaterdivinity ColdinT It didn’t.   Almost no video on YouTube – even the REALLY bad ones – don’t get a ‘majority’ of dislikes.

Well given its 100 percent of the profit going to charity I support this . In the past it hasn’t been 100 percent though .

Suuure… if they actually made those for charity, instead of giving “part of the profit” to X thing and keep the rest.
But I guess it’s not so far from other charities actually…

*SIGH* fine. Like my $30 a month isn’t enough Blizzard-induced wallet damage. At least it’s for a good cause!

SirMysk Needs (More) Coffee, Probably It could be if Visa takes $0.30 of the fee and Blizzard gets 9.7 that Bliz donates 100% of their 9.7 But I think 10 is more likely.

Adoption is just playing into the pet adoption memes.

SirMysk Needs (More) Coffee, Probably  I have no doubt 100% of the price is going to Make-A-Wish Foundation.  I also have no doubt that the last day to buy it for donation being the last day of the US tax year isn’t a coincidence either – Blizzard will write off the donation.  But why look a gift horse in the mouth?   Make-A-Wish gets $10 a piece for these.  Blizzard gets a tax writeoff and great PR.  Donors get a cute virtual kitty.  Kudos to Blizzard.  I’ll probably pick one up before the end of the month.

WoW puts out a video of an adorable feline, tons of likes.  Wildstar puts out a video of an adorable feline, majority of dislikes. Sigh…

brelic BriarGrey yay, thanks!

Now if only we could gift digital game pre-orders.  I tried to get one of my son’s friends the digital upgrade to Draenor once and couldn’t, had to order the physical copy.  And I’d love to get her the pre-order for Legion (poor college student, dontcha know) but WoW just doesn’t want you to give it away apparently.
