Leaderboard: What will you be doing most often in Star Citizen?

153

I just saw Star Citizen’s new trailer yesterday, and needless to say I was pretty blown away. Alpha 2.0 is looking good – so good that I may actually have to download it this weekend and break my no-betas rule!

It shows off three aspects of Star Citizen’s persistent universe gameplay, those being ship combat, first-person shooter combat, and EVA elements. For today’s Leaderboard, let’s use those as a springboard to try and determine what MOP readers are looking forward to the most when Star Citizen launches. Vote after the cut!

Leaderboard: What will you be doing most often in Star Citizen?

  • Ship combat (15%, 118 Votes)
  • FPS combat (9%, 70 Votes)
  • Trading/crafting (22%, 172 Votes)
  • Exploration (41%, 321 Votes)
  • Something else? (12%, 95 Votes)

Total Voters: 776

You won’t find much of that here.
Most people here ignore him and don’t discuss him, and MOP don’t post news about that individual anymore, it’s not worth it.

Cotic_OP Given their infantile attitude to all things SC related (e.g. bitching about CIG employes, wishing that SC dies a death, kissing Derp Skippy’s ass for “lulz”), the only place related to SC in any way where they will be causing “mayhem” is in their little biome on the SA forums.

Armsman alturabati Don’t forget that Derp Skippy claims he’s never used alt accounts……..yeah, I know.

TheChiefTurtle Don’t forget they’re putting in salvage mechanics, derelicts, spatial anomalies, and I believe the map won’t include every single planet and jump point from the outset because they want players to find them.
So no, apparently it won’t be like Eve Online.

Have you seen the design documents that details the workings of mining and repairs?
If you haven’t then you can find the one about repairs here.

Now imagine that level of depth added to bounty hunting and you should have an idea of how it likely will work.
Bounty hunting will be a proper thing as you call it, of that you can be certain.

As for waiting until release with buying the game, that’s your choice, and I’ll not try to convince you otherwise.
But I will offer a piece of information in that regard that might be of interest to you.
CIG has indicated that they might be selling the Single Player campaign and the MMO game separately at $60 each for a total of $120, right now you can get it all at $45.
The choice is still yours, and I’m only telling you this to inform you, not to try and convince you to buy into the game now.

BigMikeyOcho Too bad. I had some good 90 minutes sessions. The server errors have significantly reduced for me. Still some crashes and framerate issues though.

What will I be doing most often? The intro over and over again as it keeps crashing 10 minutes in.

No exploration is far more involved than just pushing a scan button, this isn’t STO, use your imagination.
Have you seen the detail they have put into things such as mining and repairs?
Exploration will be just as deep and detailed as that.

Here is a compilation of what is known Exploration and what its all about.
