The Daily Grind: Which MMO has the best wardrobe system?

I think about MMO fashion a lot because I’m a weird person who doesn’t get invited to a lot of parties (or maybe it’s the other way around). What puzzles me is how most MMOs seem to get very close to developing good cosmetic wardrobe systems and then drop the ball in different areas.

For example, RIFT has it going on with a terrific wardrobe system right now — but generally not-so-great armor designs. Guild Wars 2 got pretty fun with its system, but I never liked its high cost of dyeing and its samey armor sets. SWTOR still hasn’t gotten on board with the whole “save designs to a collection” mechanic that most MMOs are using. The Secret World is tons of fun — but you can’t dye any of the clothing pieces or save multiple outfit loadouts.

In your opinion, which MMO has the best cosmetic wardrobe system?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
