It’s no secret that Hearthstone takes its inspiration from World of Warcraft. The former is meant to be inspired by the latter. That means that there are no shortage of legendary Hearthstone cards with direct equivalents in WoW, and an enterprising fan by the handle of Jeppz95 has taken the opportunity to pair the inspirations for the cards with the cards themselves in a new gallery.
For those of you who recognize all of the cards from their sources just by name alone, it’s a fun trip down memory lane for characters and bosses that haven’t been cutting-edge content for some time. If you’ve never seen the inspirations, it’s a chance to see the characters who inspired the cards. And if you have at least a passing familiarity with the lore of the setting, it’s an entertaining diversion for the time it takes to page through the full gallery.
