Fans of WildStar’s awesome soundtrack are in for a treat today, as the sci-fi title has released a musical preview of its new Ascendency theme, “Darkness of the Mind,” as well as an Eldan track called “Beyond the Emerald Glow.”
According to Composer Jeff Kurtenacker, this first theme illustrates the Ascendancy’s motives: “Misguided by ambition, and driven by a corrupt sense of spiritual enlightenment, the Ascendency have pushed the boundaries of evolution to a dark and mysterious place.”

My New Year’s resolution was to stop grousing online about NCSoft not releasing a formal Wildstar soundtrack. so I will not do so here.
I love Kurtnacker’s work. Especially in regards to themes since they’re instantly recognizable when I hear them mixing into other tracks. :)
music in Wildstar is A+ sometimes I hum the theme and then I have to just load up WS and play it. Also happens with Age of Conan, oh the. music in Conarch Valley… must play
And i thought Fallen Earth OST was good. Wildstar OST is just divine work.
I like the reference to The Cold Science of Supremacy in both pieces. It was my favorite track from the original soundtrack, and I think I might like Beyond the Emerald Glow even more.
I love this game’s soundtrack. I hope they continue to post more of it.
Love them both. Got sort of an X-files vibe off of them.
