Fans overwhelmingly vote for offline pledge rewards in Shroud of the Avatar

Online, offline, who cares?

If you want to play Shroud of the Avatar online, there’s stuff that you can have only by pledging support for the game at the right time. But what about when you’re offline? Should all of those benefits be available to you while playing alone, or should offline players be subject to the same restrictions as online ones? The development team posed the same question to the community, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive: Nearly every player polled has said yes, indicating offline players should be able to access otherwise inaccessible content in offline mode, even if they didn’t pledge for those rewards.

The latest community update also includes a peek behind the scenes in the making of Paladis Shardfall and Dysborg Ruins, giving a thorough look at how these areas came to be. You’ll be able to play with Dysborg Ruins in Release 26 thanks to some team member dedication, and you can also most likely look forward to accessing everything the game has to offer in its offline mode.

Elirion Midgetsnowman camelotcrusade Actually no, there are some high backers who complain about the money aspect affecting design decisions.  There are obvious selfish whales who scream “me me me me me” at every chance and lobby for really stupid ideas that benefit them personally and are blatant enough to post on the forums they don’t give a shit how it affects anyone else.  Unfortunately, those idiot whales far outnumber the other legit ones, especially in how much cash they’re willing to throw at the devs.

Personally i consider “not being a dick” a pretty awesome trait in people, especially online ;)
But yes, i get what you mean, “not being a dick” should be the norm, not something praiseworthy.

Midgetsnowman camelotcrusade  More often than not, it’s the people with no money and lots of time screaming about “whales” ruining the game from what I’ve observed.

And forever further away from an honest and true MMO it goes…

So does this game have a local co-op function? Wondering if that still would count as offline. Then again, I’m not following this game that closely until they launch.

I never knew whose giving whom the middle finger would ever turn into a No True Scotsman. o.O

Siphaed Midgetsnowman camelotcrusade If anything the backers gave themselves the middle finger.  Not that I personally believe its a middle finger at all.

Midgetsnowman PaganRites Siphaed camelotcrusade Awesome ? it’s offline mode. They could have voted yes because the game mode has no effect on them so they don’t give a fuck what happens there.

That’s not really being awesome, it’s just not being a dick.
