Tomorrow’s The Secret World patch adds new PvP scenario, new group finder

Still a better mountain story than Everest.

Ready to quite literally fight to be king of the mountain? The Secret World‘s Shambala scenario tasks players with doing precisely that with a new style of PvP match. After extensive testing, said scenario is ready for prime time and will be deployed with a patch tomorrow. It’s important to note that this is completely free, so as long as you own the game, you can jump right in and start enjoying what the new PvP style has to offer.

Do you prefer to work with your fellow players rather than against them? That’s fine too because this patch is also adding in the group finder functionality. Now you can just queue and go into one of the game’s dungeons without so much as a by-your-leave. Any way you slice it, it’ll be easier tomorrow to sit down and get in some play time with your fellow players.

mourasaint schmidtcapela How in the world does not being social equate with being a min/maxer?

Looking forward to the group finder. Been having a heck of a time trying to get a group for the Ankh (no one responds to my tells in LFG Dx) and I’ve already found the quest for the next dungeon a few nights ago @.@ this should help or at least will let me que up and not stress over finding people myself

On the other hand, it might be what gets me to finally try the game’s group content. Ever since I saw how better (for me) it was doing group content with a group finder, after WoW finally fixed the mess their earlier LFG systems were, I don’t do group content without group finders anymore; though I like doing (small) group content, I hate both asking for a place in a group and assembling groups myself.

I might be bitter, but as long as they keep the cast time on Anima Shot – snare or no snare – I only keep TSW on my SDD to be able to log in for GSP events.

Aargh this game.
I’m installing it again, against my better judgement and memories of the last time I played. Maybe I’ll be able to look past the little annoyances that put me off it last time.
Every time I see it mentioned here on MOP I get that little twinge in the back of my mind, like when I think of Eve. I just have to log in and have a look, the curiosity is too great.

Well, this kills whatever slim chance there was of me giving this game a serious change.
Group finders are the bane of MMOs.

Odds are an antisocial player was already one before groupfinder was invented. Lord knows i just bit my tongue whenever i was forced to group up in wow and eq1. Hate socializing in real life, moreso in-game.
