These days, if you’re not on Steam, you’re throwing money away, a lesson more and more MMORPG studios are learning lately. Perhaps that explains why Perfect World Entertainment has today released wuxia MMORPG Swordsman on Valve’s platform (but we’re guessing the launch of another wuxia MMO in recent weeks might have a little something to do with it too). Says PWE,

“This was a move long in the making, and we would like to take the time to welcome all of our players new and old to our new platform! For those of you joining our amazing community for the first time, Swordsman is a 3D Martial Arts MMORPG based upon the epic novel written by Louis Cha.

In the beautiful yet deadly world of Swordsman, you are a wandering hero in search of justice as you track down the villains who destroyed your village. Your journey will take you to some famous locations such as the Shaolin Temple, Wutang Mountains, Fu Giu City, the Guilded Wastelands and more.

Along the way, you will meet some colorful and unique characters to aid in your journey. Join one of 10 unique schools of Martial Arts including Shaolin, Wu-tang, Five Venoms, Splendor, Infinity, Sun and Moon Cult, Zephyr, House Tong, Harmony, and E’mei! Join a guild and make your own legend. Are you a bandit? A hero? Only you will decide!”

We last took a long look at the game back in late 2014 around the time of its Gilded Wasteland expansion. The game launched in July of that same year.
