Overwatch’s beta revs back up next week

It’s been a long while since fans have been able to duke it out in Overwatch’s beta. The game’s test went offline on December 10th and remained steadfastly so throughout the holidays and first month of the year. After a restart delay that led into February, Overwatch will resume its beta testing on February 9th in North America and Europe.

This round of testing will feature an improved build that contains a fresh progression system, two additional maps, a new game mode, tweaks to hero balance, and private game updates.

Previous testers can jump right back into the game as if the last two months hadn’t happened, and Blizzard hinted that it would be expanding its testing pool soon. The beta will commence for Asia on February 16th.

PompousPeasant I really love the characters of Overwatch and would love to see them in a campaign. Sadly, I don’t expect we’ll get anything more than comic cutscenes.

Pepperzine notice how I never said anything to you and yet you felt the need to defend yourself?

I am speaking for myself lol I never claimed anyone agreed with my opinion. On the same note, I never said it was mindless either. But thanks for putting words in my mouth, it is appreciated.

PompousPeasant You may call it mindless while others consider it engaging and skill filled gameplay.  To each their own, sorry your playstyle isn’t being targeted but blizzard already has enough PvE/campaign games, they could actually try some shooter’s since, well, all their games are mindless these days.

PompousPeasant I still wish they were using the assets and design concepts for this game to create Project Titan.  Massively Multiplayer FPS sounds so much more intriguing and entertaining to me than a lobby based FPS.  It’s a shame, but I’ve been let down by blizzard so much in the last few years that it comes as no surprise.

Just a mindless PvP shooter is not going to cut it Blizz.  Love the engine and aesthetics but add some story, PvE, a campaign…so much to pull from it would be shame just to have it as a shooter.
