Final Fantasy XIV will give screenshotters improved tools in Patch 3.2

You may not know this, but apparently there is a so-called “Screenshot Alliance” of Final Fantasy XIV developers who work behind the scenes to create improved features for like-minded players who love to capture images from the game. We are not making this up, by the way.

Some of the efforts of that alliance will be coming to the community with this month’s Patch 3.2 in the form of an improved idle camera. The idle camera is an established feature that starts floating the camera around the place when a player activates it or goes AFK. This feature also makes for interesting angles for screenshots.

Well, with the new patch, the idle cam will have even more options, including being able to target characters and objects as the focus of the camera’s attention. Players will also be able to pause the camera and skip “scenes” while it’s in action.
