Let’s get that Division hype rolling! Ubisoft has posted a new trailer showcasing the game’s visual quality in 60 frames per second. Not impressed by graphics porn? How about simulation porn? Ubisoft has also released a browser-based simulator minigame called Collapse intended to demo the speed at which a virus can destroy society. Grim! The trailer’s below. Let us know how you fare in Collapse!

Ubi + preorder= no
That said I hope its cool, I like the idea but nightmares of that hacking game and there terrible software required (On top of steam.) leave me very skeptical.

Well, that (the simulator) was cheery.

I understand the concept and I guess it really wouldn’t matter what hospital you would be taken to initially.  I just couldn’t get past that they took me to one 45 minutes away and the pharmacy was another 30 minutes out from there.

A guy I work with has the right idea.  Guns, lots of guns, cause we’re all doomed!

If the idea of an rpg shooter is your thing, then I’m not sure what’s not to like about the Division. It appears to be fairly dense, and a full-fledged single player game before you even talk about the Dark Zone and what it adds to longevity. After playing it, it’s like the bastard child of Assassin’s Creed and a Tom Clancy game.

In some ways, I almost think the Dark Zone aspects might actually end up hurting it, because without this expectation of “MMO” like qualities, if it had been marketed as another single player game with co-op capabilities, I think people’s expectations would be wholly different. There seems to be an odd idea that because it’s doing that and more that it somehow isn’t enough…which is quite…contrarian really. That said, I know when I first heard about it that I thought it was going to be more of a Destiny or Defiance or something, but the betas seem to indicate it’s going to be a fully fledged “game” you’d expect out of a single player AAA title and the multiplayer will just be the cherry on the top.

And, no, I don’t think the Dark Zone has a ton of longevity. But, I also don’t think it really needs to. It’s not hard to extrapolate all the upgrading your base is going to do with the size of the New York map and the number of missions you’re likely going to have to do. Obviously, if none of that is your cup of tea, then you won’t enjoy it, but that’d be the same thing for a game like Assassin’s Creed.

As for the collapse simulator, there doesn’t seem to be much difference where you start. Partly because it appears to force you to a high density area even if there’s hospitals much closer when you try to start off in the boonies. In fact…I seemed to cause the world to collapse about a day faster if I tried to start in the middle of nowhere, vs a city or suburbia. Kind of funny. :/

Amazing Video, if it will turn out to be an amazing game i am not sure, open beta with all dz exploits concerns me a lot. I will try to get a cheap key when the game is released, no pre order hype pls.

mysecretid https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/comments/47ffmt/a_list_of_clarifications_from_beta_to_full_game/ clears up a lot of stuff.  I’m especially intrigued to see how well Crafting fares.

I genuinely hope that this game demonstrates sufficient substance after the initial wave of launch-hype ends. Seriously. No sarcasm.

Things look encouraging so far, but I’ve been hoodwinked before.

(yes, I just wanted to use the word “hoodwinked” — such a strange word)

Is all of that actually in the Manhattan area that comes with the launch version of the game? Looking at the total map for the dark zone as compared to what was in beta is a little worrying, considering the beta DZ area was about a quarter to a third of the total DZ area.
