Black Desert drops a minor patch for class balancing

Yes, you are all individuals.

The wait is over for everyone, Black Desert is out and playable, and if you’ve been looking forward to the game but still aren’t playing it… well, that’s really on you at this point. That doesn’t mean that everything in the game is in perfect working shape, of course, hence a patch to the game yesterday to address a number of fussy issues. Numerous display changes were made for Witches and Wizard, while Tamer balance was “adjusted” in unspecified fashions.

Other minor issues addressed include fixing some localization issues and some text displays along with various quest issues. Nothing major, but if you’ve run into some broken edges while playing the game since its headstart, it’s no doubt nice to know that those rough bits are getting sanded off.

Seriously thinking about getting this, all the ‘systems’ talk has gotten me intrigued. Can someone explain the main differences between the two packs – the explorers and the travellers please.

Energy systems worry me, since usually when devs implement them, they plan to later sell items that allow you to buy your way out of them.
I’m glad that folks can be optimistic about energy and regards it as good for players, but I tend to be a little more cynical.

You can drag that stuff around, or even turn off parts of the UI. It’s arranged best for clickers at default, but if you like a cleaner, more spartan setup, you can do that. :)

The Japanese client is actually very stable on my 3 year old HTPC laptop, running Win10, so it’s very well built, I haven’t had a crash to desktop yet!

Unfortunately that’s not entirely true. Each publisher has inacted an IP lock policy, so there are some folks that either can’t play the version for the language they speak, like yours truly, or simply can’t play at all due to living in a region that’s fallen between the cracks, like folks that live in European countries but are blocked from both RU and NA/EU launches.
The IP locking is a bit fluster-clucky.
There was a minor victory in that Oceanic players got to be included in the NA/EU localization though, that’s a plus!

So how much money has everyone spent on p2w items?

cheesybites76 Serrenity  and by and large, they weren’t wrong.  Despite personal issues with it, the game broke stride with most of the rest of the industry and has seen commercial success in doing so.

Wratts The nodes are easy to learn and there are quests that go over it.
