Holy arts.

The big change coming to World of Warcraft‘s PvP in Legion is a brand-new honor system, and like anything else that’s been changed wholesale for the expansion, it needs to be properly tested. The developers have taken the opportunity to update players on the state of the PvP matches to be found in the alpha test, which is still in the process of refinement right now — especially when it comes to the matter of class balance, which the class designers aren’t even really thinking about at the moment.

Skirmishes started off disabled just to ensure more Battleground queueing, as the large structure of battlegrounds serves the needs of testing better; skirmishes will be back, but will likely be turned off again after the next major invitation wave. Player feedback about getting the first six talents earlier has been received, although the overall pacing of abilities is in line with what the developers want, and tanks and healers are due to be tuned down and up respectively. Check out the full post for a more comprehensive picture of the PvP situation as it currently exists in the alpha test.
