Daybreak is shutting down its EverQuest franchise mobile app at the end of March.

“We will be closing the EverQuest Worlds mobile app at the end of this month. If you would like to play any of the current mini-games, finish up quest lines, and/or retrieve codes for rewards, you will need to do so on or before midnight (11:59PM PDT) on Thursday, March 31, 2016. The app will remain available in the App Store (iOS) and via Google Play (Android) until its sunset on March 31, 2016. We hope you enjoyed this app while it was available, and continue to use and enjoy the rewards you’ve redeemed in EverQuest, EverQuest II, and Landmark.”

That’s 3:59 a.m. EDT on Friday, April 1st, for those of you running in MOP time, but it’s sadly no April Fools’ Day joke.

The app had received new features last summer, including a new questline, minigame, and trivia game, each one granting in-MMO rewards for either EverQuest, Landmark, or EverQuest II. That was the last update to the app; recent reports on the Android store suggest it hasn’t functioned properly in many months.
