Surely one of the best parts of being a tiny indie studio is that you can more or less do whatever you want. So it is with Project Gorgon, whose pre-alpha develops at the whims of its creator, Eric Heimburg, who’s been tricking out special weekend modes that are a bit different from the norm. Earlier this month, players tested an inventory bonus weekend, during which they got a bigger inventory — the better to craft with. More recently, players were treated to a travel speed weekend.
The game’s next patch is due out sometime this week, though Heimburg says he might postpone it from its Tuesday/Wednesday plan to upgrade Unity first. “It’s looking pretty likely that Ice Magic level cap will be raised in next update,” he writes, “Some new skills, some bug fixes, this and that.” And then there’s this — and we’re pretty sure he’s serious:
This Tuesday, discover the secrets of Flower Arrangement! A brand new skill, only in Project: Gorgon (maybe?). All this and more on Tuesday!

Armsbend Flower arrangement is just a minor thing that was added with the latest patch, along with nature appreciation skill, new ice magic, new favor quests, bunch of bugfixes, and balancing. It seems people like to emphasize the weird/crazy/gonzo stuff because it makes better headlines, but there is more to the game than that. I started playing last August and since then a lot was added to the game – including three zones, a new animal form, complete revamp of the power and item bonus systems, a few skills and abilities, etc.
ProfessionalNoob I really love the NPCs in this game. This is the first game for a long time where I actually read the dialoge because it’s either funny, or interesting.
Keep going, the end of tutorial island is really great.

To be clear, I wasn’t really thinking of character models when I posted this.
This, so much this!
Hell, these days if a game is ultra pretty I actually start to worry more! Like when I first saw the CC in Black Desert Online I started to seriously fear for that game.
FYI, the latest patch added a lot more than just that. It also added two more zones and many other things.
ManastuUtakata And I really hope they don’t even want to look like BDO. I don’t want my characters to look like lifeless realdolls. :D

They seem to have a lot more polygon count than EQ1 though. I agree, they’re still along way from being BDO. :)
Armsbend breetoplay Putting development time into little systems is what will eventually add the necessary depth to the game and exploration. LVL60 Flower Arranger LFG PST
ProfessionalNoob borghive And Stardew Valley’s graphics aren’t much of a step up from the original Wasteland from thirty years ago. And it’s currently #6 on GoG’s sales chart, down from #1 a couple of weeks ago. Gameplay > graphics.
