Allods promises patch by the end of March, announces collector’s edition

Is it strange for an MMO to be coming out with a collector’s edition years after its launch? Allods Online doesn’t think so, apparently, as the free-to-play title announced the details of its new collector’s edition set that’s coinciding with the release of Update 7.0: New Order.

The digital collector’s edition, priced at around $50.28, includes two pets, a uniform, premium currency, and various consumable buffs. Allods Online is also selling a starter pack for $16.75 that comes with a pet and a handful of the aforementioned consumables.

Whether or not the playerbase bites at the lure of these packs, Allods Online will be treating everyone to Update 7.0 on March 31st. The team’s been talking up this patch for a while now which will contain a reworking of its class roster, new role aspects, a reforging system, a change to its lockbox mechanics, more quests, and a level cap increase to 70. New Order will be broken up into four mini-seasons, so expect to hear more about it in the coming months.

I can’t laugh at anything Allods related, because i absolutely adored Rage of Mages, and Allods itself.
It’s a reminder, a extremely sad reminder, of how people can completely fuck up a game when they lack respect for their own playerbase.
I don’t want to, but this game deserves to burn in hell, for what it has become.

Can you actually sub in this game and eliminate the P2W cash shop, without having to actually pay $20 a month for a $10 a month game, like it was when GPotato had it?

How do you sub these days for the English client?

EO_Lonegun I know, but on Steam there is only the russian version, i think it’s pretty ridicolous. Worst sense of marketing in the gaming history.

Xevious EO_Lonegun Ugh.. no. The Russian dev finally bought it back from GPotato, they rewrote a new launcher for English users and launched it. Then, they’ve been steadily updating it since it’s been back in their possession. Still not the greatest game in the world, but it’s better now that GPotato doesn’t have it.

Actually played this game a couple of years ago. For the most part I thought it was pretty fun. They had awesome mounts. I think I quit playing around 30ish, seemed like quest were no longer giving enough XP to actually lvl up. Guess I needed to buy some XP boost.

EO_Lonegun They published on Steam the russian version lol. And now the “collector edition”, 6 years after the release. You can laugh or cry, choose one.

It’s not weird to sell starter packs and other bundled goodies but calling it a collectors edition ….yeah that’s weird.

What is the state of the game these days?
