No top guns here.

If you’re eagerly awaiting Star Citizen‘s next major version update, you can take heart that it’s on its way. The latest issue of Around the Verse confirms that Alpha 2.3 is up on the test server, with work starting on patch 2.4 once that’s ready for prime time. The community team also discussed the ships in the game that are being made playable, with the Vanduul Blade having been originally developed specifically for Squadron 42.

The team also had an interview with Andy Serkis about his role in Squadron 42 as a Vanduul leader because Serkis will never actually be allowed to play a human being in any production ever. There are plans to release the Vanduul language to fans, so you can learn to speak the whole thing. Check out the full video just below, or save yourself some time if you’d rather by reading the Imperial News Network summary.

LordOfBread  – I have no dog in thsi at all, but driving by I found it pretty hilarious that you opened with “The thing with ignorant annoying trolls like you…” and then one post later accused Cotic_OP of ad hominem. LOL  You may try and sound smart, but you don’t act smart.

” because Serkis will never actually be allowed to play a human being in any production ever.”

Serkis is actually excellently cast in the BBC mini-series Little Dorrit. Any Andy Serkis fan must watch his turn as a the creepiest murderer you would acre to meet.

@kataq like psionicinversion said, AC is not the PU. To access the PU, select Universe in the game. Then you have the choice of Arcorp area 18 or Port Olisar Crusader. Pick Port Olisar. That’s the PU.
Hope you see this. The PU is great fun to mess around in. Hopefully soon they’ll have shopping and persistence and cargo.

That’s just for cargo.
There are a few others covering different areas of the game.
In case you are interested:

It should give you an idea of the level of depth and detail they are aiming for with the game.

I see you guys do a lot of reporting on SC. But why haven’t you done streams of it so we can see how great the pre-alpha plays?

Well adding it as a temporary system would be wasting time and resources as it would be discarded later.
And since the economy system is not ready yet either, it would not give you any idea of the pricing as that again is dependent on supply and demand.
Supply and demand again is dependent on a number other factors.
So you see its a complex system with many factors determining the price of a commodity where what you suggest would be completely arbitrary and unrelated to the games economy, and as such not tell you anything.
