Now that Saga of Lucimia has emerged from the dark age of development, the team is proving to be quite communicative about the game’s status and future. In a new developer video, a report on the most recent internal build is given along with a date for the next public build. On the edge of your seat? April 30th. It’s April 30th.
There’s a lot of explanation given regarding Saga of Lucimia’s combat design, its approach to swimming (pro tip: don’t wear heavy armor), the day/night cycle, and how important exploring will be when you get into the game. If you’re a tavern lover, Â you’re going to want to stick it out to the end where a tantalizing glimpse (and listen) is given.
You can listen to the dev report and get a somewhat tepid look at the game after the break.
MrPoolaty Wait until you see the full weather cycles we’ve got going in, plus the start maps, along with the day/night cycle :)
MrPoolaty Also yeah….both volumes were set to default (max), but the way the audio came through the OBS , those footsteps were overpowering; in recent videos I’ve set the recording audio to around 15% and it’s much more “normal”, even though in my headsets it sounds as-is :)
MrPoolaty Encumbrance is a huge, huge component of our game :)
I was thinking the clouds looked awesome the yall talked about it and btw the sound was good here…
I agree the sound of your voice was low but sounded like bugs bunny was eating carrots in my ear even you was walking lol. On the positive side the armor acrobatics dampening is pretty awesome. Idk how many times this had been on the drawing boards of games in pre production and be snubbed if ever. It honestly is a no brainer now that you’ve introduced it to me. I know there’s been a couple rpgs in the past who’ve added encombrence but I think this is a really cool feature!
Robert80Â Yep; I didn’t have the OBS settings ironed out. If you listen to the past few YT videos since that one, the sound is more evened out.Â
It sounds perfect in-game, but for some reason during the recording sessions it overwhelms the audio dialogue when set to the default levels.
TWAnderson Cool, can you consider turning in game sound down a little and talking up a little for the next one? I couldn’t hear very well over the consistent clomp of walking. Would seem a lot better!
Cheers :) We’ve got another video coming out tomorrow talking about defensive targeting and some of what’s going into the combat, then another internal test on the 2nd, and more goodies ahead of the public build on the 30th.Â
Still a long road ahead, but we’re having fun and that’s all that matters at the end of the day!
See you guys on the 30th…and don’t forget to check out the short preview from the internal test last weekend:Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPnwqOa0D8s
