There’s no doubt that the Lineage franchise is absolutely massive in Asia, so drop your surprised face at the news that there’s a new mobile game coming based on Lineage II.
Lineage II: Blood Oath will be developed by Snail Games in cooperation with NCsoft for iOS and Android devices. The title is being built with the in-house Flexi Engine and is using content from the live game. Whether this will be a pure mobile version of Lineage II or a streamlined edition remains to be seen.
Blood Oath is scheduled to release in China later this year, and it is unknown if it will be coming to the west after that. It is also not clear if this game has any relationship with Netmarble’s Project S, which is also due out this year.
