Gloria Victis’ weekly update introduces dynamic events

Get better at this.

This week’s Gloria Victis update takes a cue from MMOs like Warhammer and Guild Wars 2 with its introduction of dynamic events.

“New dynamic events, designed for the new players, engage Ismirean players to stop the Midlandic partisans attack at the Mereley fort,” writes developer Black Eye Games. “This event chain guides the newcomers through the very first moments in game and helps them to learn the basics of gameplay.”

Backer-testers can also expect improved AI, a new guild ranks system, improved UI transitions, and balanced resource harvesting time.

PhelimReagh That used to bug me too, but I’ve grown used to it, and given their independent-on-a-shoestring nature I don’t particularly begrude them the extra page views.  I’ve developed the habit of quickly glancing at link tool-tip pop-ups with the destination address more often anyways so I can know where I’ll be heading.

PhelimReagh “dynamic events” does link to the page while Gloria Victis just links to the site tags.  I do agree though that it’d be nice if when they highlight the game itself that they send a link to the actual game’s site.

Tyronyxia I recommend it, it’s only $10 to get in the test, the servers are always up (as far as I can tell), bullet drop on ranged attacks =D, you can click on a button and a few seconds later you’re teleported to a PvP arena.
Also it’s an independent studio running on a very tiny budget so it’s cool to encourage them. =)

I’m tempted to pick this game up, but I’ve never really heard anyone that plays it recommend picking it up.

I hate that you guys kept that Joystiq reliq of the “link in the body of the text goes to your tag page”, instead of directly linking to the source you are referring to, as is done on every other site in the entire internet. Hyperlinks to your tagged pages should be at the bottom of the article, under a “Tags” heading, like is found everywhere else on the entire internet.
