Survival MMORPG LUX seeks Kickstarter funding

Fancy a survival sandbox that has more MMORPG than multiplayer? Open-world, single-shard LUX might just be your game, and it’s on Kickstarter hoping for your dollar right now. LUX features real-time combat, a hunger system, stealth, settlement construction, NPC hiring, crafting, a diurnal cycle, personal bunkers, mecha mounts, and over 15 character types planned for launch. As in many survival games, your loot will stay on your corpse when you die. Oh yeah, and it’s super cute and seems to evoke shades of Don’t Starve.

Studio Chimera Games says its chief challenges will be day-one congestion and a simultaneous launch across PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

As of this writing, the game is approaching $75,000 funded of its $200,000 goal with just under two weeks to go. The $15 tier will net you the game, but if your pockets are sagging under the weight of all your money, you can shell out up to $10,000 to be immortalized in the game, get copies for your whole guild, and attend a swanky launch party.
