ArcheAge players cry foul on a $100 in-game pool

Ironically, this is the sort of controversy you'd probably rather face from inside a hot tub.
It’s been a cold April in parts of the US, but ArcheAge is addressing that with the addition of a new hot tub house decoration. It allows up to four people to sit within it, it can remove the debuff for sleeping, and it comes along free with the purchase of a $100 credit pack to the extent that anything is “free” with a $100 entry charge. Also, you might want to re-examine that middle part there because the hot tub allows the house’s owner to remove the sleep debuff, meaning that you can sleep twice in a given day.

Since sleeping is the only way to gain Labor points, which are normally sharply limited, the hot tub goes from being a fun vanity item to being arguably pay-to-win based solely on endless free Labor point refreshes. Player uproar ensued.

Redditors confirmed that only the property owner can benefit from the debuff removal, meaning that there’s going to be a pretty significant difference between players who do and do not have the $100 worth of credits and this “freebie.”
