Let it snow (and more) in World of Warships

World of Warships might need a meteorologist before too long. In an upcoming patch, the game will be adding a weather system for its matches. While the weather won’t affect anything other than visibility and rubbernecking in the game, the team hinted that there could be more to come. Fighting in a typhoon, anyone?

Other changes coming in the 0.5.5 update are being able to set up divisions after matches, new client optimization for faster battle load times, more music, and a couple of additional maps. One of the maps will be based on the South China Sea while the other will be an Indian Ocean archipelago. The latter map will be the first in the game to feature several versions based on different times of the day.

Awesome.  Can’t wait to see it.  I really want a better aircraft carrier, but progress is slow as those tiers get higher.
There’s something hilariously fun about realizing that a ship is ducking behind a small island, and judging that your torpedoes will arrive just about when they will come around the bend, and you can give them a nasty surprise that can’t be avoided… (chuckles)
Torpedoes are like… well, you love ’em or hate ’em.  ;)

I have been playing this game more recently, between doing something more or less important getting a quick battle and then returning what I had been doing.

JonBuck “Fighting in a typhoon”.
Typhoon is the NATO classification  for a Russian ballistic missile submarine natively known as Акула (Shark) or project 941.  So confirmation of submarines coming to world of warships?
<adjusts tin foil hat> hehe :p
