Villagers & Heroes is coming to Android tablets

Villagers & Heroes is one of those underappreciated MMO gems that’s been flying under the radar for a while. It might look an awful lot like a certain “other” game, but it has a few cool ideas, including placing just as much emphasis on your character’s home as on your adventuring style.

In any case, Villagers & Heroes might be on the rise now that the game’s announced its intentions to come to mobile devices. So far, the game will only be making the jump to Android devices and will be fully cross-compatible with the PC version and existing accounts. The mobile game will be pretty much identical to the PC one except for some UI changes and accessibility tweaks. Mad Otter is recommending a tablet to run it, as a phone might be too small and cramped for the interface.

The team said that it has been working on this mobile edition for 18 months now and is planning on a very small, focused beta this month. Windows Phone and iPhone versions may be coming in the future.

Just a heads up for anyone playing this on Steam, you wont be able to link it with the Android version, only creating an account & playing via the standalone PC version will this be possible.

Malvious Honestly, that’s going to depend on what you consider P2W. Some of the packages include free house rent, buffs, storage out the wazoo, unlimited crafting tools, etc. The pre-Steam version of the game was more P2W in my opinion than the current version (back then, it operated on an energy system for crafting, which was – it’s been overhauled since).

Malvious From the FAQ: “Pricing is identical to on PC, meaning that the game itself is 100% free. The item shop exists on mobile as well and contains the same items for the same prices.” I don’t currently play the game, so you’ll have to look into what their existing cash shop has, but what you see now seems to be what they’ll have on mobile.

The office in my house also happens to be in the hottest room, cozy in the winter, oven in the summer. Tablet games allow me to sit in my nice cool den instead of baking in the PC sauna. If this launches before summer ends, it’ll get a very fair shot from me.

Hard to underappreciate a game that plays more clunky than Bonetown.

That sounds great. It felt a little too slow-paced for dedicated play on my computer, but it would be perfect for the tablet.
