‘Blood will flow’: Elder Scrolls Online video previews Dark Brotherhood DLC

Taking candy from babies is all well and good for you sneaky Thieves Guild ne’er-do-wells, but what if you’re more the stabbin’ type? Strap on your Dexter gloves, my pretties, because everyone’s favorite murderin’ guild The Dark Brotherhood is invading The Elder Scrolls Online.

“Your talent for homicide has been noticed and an invitation has arrived to join the Dark Brotherhood – a sinister group of assassins,” teases ZeniMax. “Explore the Gold Coast in the westernmost region of Cyrodiil where you’ll find opportunity, intrigue, and of course… murder.” You are required to drag that last word out with a silly accent.

There’s a quick preview video below; Bethsoft is promising pricing and release date details for the promised DLC “in the weeks to come.”

Updating with full press release now:

KalothIts just being obfuscated. It is still there. Veteran gear is now locked at Champion Point levels rather than VRs.

Necro Mage Sorata Because WoW used tab-targeting and hotbars first. Also a similar gameplay doesn’t make it a clone. Call of Duty is a clone of Unreal Tournament is a clone of Quake is a clone Doom is a clone of Wolfenstein?

Balf “vocal community … of players bashing at everyone and anyone / everything and anything at all time on the chat”

Yeah, sounds like PvP to me. :/

The best MMORPG I’ve played in years. I love ESO approach to new content release, always adding new flavor to the gave and not trapping player in content drought if a patch is not to their liking (next patch is always around the corner).
Having done some questing in Cyrodiil as of late, it seems to me the problem with PvP is not a performance issue but a vocal community (I hope a minority) of players bashing at everyone and anyone / everything and anything at all time on the chat (visibly this vocal community expands beyond the chat). No changes made to the game PvP performance, mechanic, balance will ever be enough…

No 1v1 in faction system-fail
No mention of structured pvp…. been asked for by entire PVP community since launch
“Ongoing Cyrodil performance improvements” – by now we know this synonymous with “fuck off we can’t fix it”
