Hearthstone’s Whispers of the Old Gods means never having to say you’re ‘sorry’

Hearthstone’s Whispers of the Old Gods expansion launches today. First teased via Brooklyn mural last month, the update includes new game formats, friendly challenge meny tweaks, new card backs, deck recipe adjustments, and bug fixes. The weirdest patch note of all? Blizzard has apparently pulled the “sorry” emote out of the game:

The “Sorry” emote has been replaced with a new “Wow” emote. Wow!

Apparently, players were abusing the emote in the otherwise chat-free online game to spew sarcasm at opponents and bluff about their tactics. However, this is the internet, which means people are already discussing how “wow” will be abused — to say nothing of “thanks” and “oops.” Oops!
