Tree of Savior delays launch to May 10

Tree of Savior’s spring rollout has been anything but smooth. The isometric import has weathered numerous storms over the past few months, including rampant cheating and instance instability. The team announced last week that it would be delaying the title’s free-to-play launch to shore up some of these weak spots, and now we have word of the new release date: May 10th.

“We apologize for the confusion many of you had on our game’s F2P release date,” IMC said yesterday. “Due to the changes recently made, we had to push the release schedule back to May. The game will be open to everyone on May 10th, and the exact time will be announced in the future once our regular maintenance hours are confirmed.”

Tree of Savior has been in early access on Steam since March 29th.

The only gripe ive got about the game so far after playing a few of the classes is the downtime for health and such.

Cleric is the only class that seemingly has no real downtime. All the others find themselves having to sit (at campfires) to regen their health frequently. Think EQ1. Just a rather meh mechanic, that makes me not want to play the other 3 base classes.

Bitrip rtrwolf This is actually one problem that you can solve the p2w way. You can roll sp recovery on the three headgear slots you have with cash shop enchant scrolls. It makes an insane difference in the earlier levels as you can quadruple your sp recovery without having to spend points on spirit, which is an otherwise terrible stat. So the game is more p2w than rtrwolf is making it sound, but the headgear does lose significance later in the game.

Oh and mage isn’t the worst mana offender, that would be fletcher in the archer tree.

Glad to see the positive feedback, yea IMC seems to really listen to the community and tried really hard to address the issues.
On a similar topic, do you guys agree about the whole “pay to win” thing, because alot of the steam reviews have ppl just spamming that, they obviously to me don’t know what that really means or what it entitles.

I’m cool with that, gives me a few more weeks to try to wrap up some other games/MMO projects. Yay!

Bitrip rtrwolf The recent update where low level quests give out mana potions has helped that a TON for me. I have an abundance of mana potions so it’s a non-issue and players say that at higher levels MP regen on mages isn’t a problem, so I think I should be fine until then. But I agree it was annoying before.

I’ve actually been impressed with how well and how quickly they’re addressing issues.

PizzaDoh Bitrip rtrwolf Thanks. And yes, I ended up playing a swordsman due to the mana issue. I actually got my cleric up really high using heal and cure but then it got to a point where I couldn’t kill anything because all the enemies were floating. >.<

I was mainly interested in ToS due to the striking similarities to RO but I’m not sure it’s the game I was hoping for. I will definitely give it another spin though, since they’ve made the SP/mana issue a little better.

Bitrip rtrwolf It regens pretty fast with a camp fire, also they updated quests to give out SP potions, they give out a TON.

All of my characters have at least 200 of two different types of mana pots in storage because the weight of them in my inventory is getting too much, even for my full STR character.

rtrwolf Does mana still regenerate super slowly? I played in the closed beta and it seemed really bad to me. I wanted to play a mage and it didn’t seem feasible at the time.
