Star Trek Online announces its third expansion: Agents of Yesterday

Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starships named Enterprise. Their continuing missions have been to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, and to boldly go where no one has gone before. It all started with the premiere of the original Star Trek, the first series putting a crew of dedicated people of many races, ethnicities, and species on a ship named Enterprise, a series that started a franchise and a dedication that led through the years to the launch and ongoing support of Star Trek Online.

Now the game is going back to its roots with its third expansion, Agents of Yesterday. Back the original series, back to the oldest timeline, back to the days when the Constitution-class USS Enterprise was the most advanced ship in the stars.

Agents of Yesterday will allow players to make a new captain in the era of the original series, with five new ships appropriate to the time of Kirk and Spock and new adventures to be had among the familiar locations from those old episodes. Walter Koenig will reprise his role as Pavel Chekov, while Chris Doohan, son of James Doohan, will take on the role of Montgomery “Scotty” Scott. It’s a step back into the beginning of the franchise, a chance to celebrate the past while looking to the future.
